# Duplicate Deeds Share Experience

**Author:** Dean Rush
**Book:** *Flying Free* · **Chapter 25:** Share Your Experience – Help Others Land Safely
**Full book:** [deanrush.net/downloads/flyingfreebook.md](https://deanrush.net/downloads/flyingfreebook.md)

## Context for the Reader

This chapter demonstrates that recovery is not complete until it is shared. Dean closes by converting received mercy into a mission: duplicate Lonnie’s deeds, allow help as well as give it, and share lifetime experience that may save someone else in crisis. This lesson holds only that pass-it-on close. (Dean prose completed from `FlyingFreeBook.md` Ch. 25; page-header break between “allow” and “someone” joined — nothing invented.)

> Voice note: Everything under **Dean's excerpt** is Dean's original prose (lightly cleaned only). Sections marked **Biblical foundations**, **Scholar sidebar**, **Takeaways**, and **First-time learner** are enrichment for Asker / first readers — not Dean speaking.

## Biblical foundations (preface)

Dean turns helped person into helper without denying the need to receive. Scripture multiplies comfort received, commands mutual burden-bearing, and treats taught wisdom as life to others.

| Dean's claim | Scriptural undercarriage |
| --- | --- |
| Duplicate the deeds; pass help to someone in similar crisis | Comfort others with the comfort we ourselves have received from God (2 Corinthians 1:3–4); freely you received, freely give (Matthew 10:8) |
| Help others or allow someone to help you | Bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2); confess… and pray for one another (James 5:16) |
| Share experience; knowledge may be a lifesaver | The tongue of the wise brings healing (Proverbs 12:18); let the word of Christ dwell… teaching and admonishing one another (Colossians 3:16) |

## Dean's excerpt

### Pass it along

I determined that, if for no other reason than to pass it along to someone else, it was important to duplicate the deeds Lonnie had demonstrated to me. Somehow there had to be a way of repaying someone who was undergoing a similar crisis in life.

The lesson learned was simple. Taking time to help others or to allow someone to help you gives incentive to find life after chaos. It is a great way of landing safely. Share your lifetime of experiences with someone. Your knowledge may be the lifesaver for someone who is experiencing their own crisis.

> **Scholar sidebar — Comfort multiplied**
> 2 Corinthians 1:3–4 and Matthew 10:8 turn received mercy outward. Galatians 6:2 and James 5:16 keep giving and receiving together. Proverbs 12:18 and Colossians 3:16 make shared wisdom healing. Dean’s “lifesaver” is stewarded experience, not self-as-messiah.

---

## Takeaways

1. **Duplicate deeds.** Copy Lonnie’s pattern, not only admire it.
2. **Pass-along motive.** Even “for no other reason” than helping the next person.
3. **Repay sideways.** You repay similar-crisis sufferers, not necessarily the original helper.
4. **Give and allow.** Helping or receiving both unlock life after chaos and safe landing.
5. **Experience as lifesaver.** Shared knowledge may rescue someone in their own crisis.

## First-time learner

### What is Dean saying in one sentence?
Duplicate Lonnie’s deeds for someone in similar crisis — take time to help or to allow help — and share your experience; it may be another person’s lifesaver and a safe way to land.

### Why is allowing help part of the lesson?
Because landing safely is not lone-wolf heroism; receiving care is itself part of recovery and of learning what to pass on.

### Key verses to read with this lesson
- **2 Corinthians 1:3–4** — Comfort others with comfort received.
- **Matthew 10:8** — Freely give.
- **Galatians 6:2** — Bear one another’s burdens.
- **Proverbs 12:18** — Tongue of the wise brings healing.
- **Colossians 3:16** — Teach and admonish one another.
- **James 5:16** — Pray for one another.

### A simple practice
Write two names: one person you will help this month the way Lonnie helped, and one person you will allow to help you. Take one step on each list.

### How this feeds Ask Dean
Seed material for: *How do I repay help I received? Why allow others to help? How can shared experience save someone in crisis?*
