This chapter opens Section II – Take Proper Action. Dean uses the aviation concept of flying inverted (upside down) to illustrate that sometimes the solution to a problem requires a complete change of perspective. What looks impossible from one angle becomes obvious from another.

Our lives often fall into a mundane routine, even after we experience turmoil. We develop a habitual method of ignoring those events that troubled our past and choose to hide in the day-to-day existence. Somehow, however, there is always a reminder that rises above our routine and lights up our memory with those trials that occupied us in the past.

When reminders come they can turn our world upside down in a hurry.
